SUMMARY:Listening to Reading Orientation
DESCRIPTION:Dear Clanmore Families\,   \nYou are invited to an orientation to learn about the Listening to Reading program that takes place in the Lower and Upper Elementary communities.  The meeting will take place Wednesday\, October 8 at 8:45am and lasts approximately 20 minutes.LISTENING TO READING \nListening to Reading is a program in which parent volunteers sit in the elementary classrooms once a week and listen to the children read.  It is a program run by the Parent Association and its aim is to give the children a 5-10 minute opportunity to read aloud to an adult.  Additionally\, it is a wonderful opportunity for parents to get a sneak peak into the classroom environment. You are welcome to volunteer in any Lower or Upper Elementary classroom!  \nA Signup Genius link will be sent out following the orientation.  Each parent will have one opportunity to volunteer.  Should we need more volunteers we will let you know.  Below are the Term 1 volunteer days: \nTerm 1:ALL Lower and Upper Elementary East and West classes: Tuesday's 9-10:30 am \nEach volunteer requires a Vulnerable Sector Clearance Check before volunteering.  If you have already applied but have not yet received it\, you may send your receipt to the school via email  teachers@clanmore.ca.   \nIf you are unable to attend the meeting on Wednesday October 8 at 8:45 am but would like additional information\, feel free to email parents@clanmore.ca.  \nLooking forward to a great year of reading!

DESCRIPTION:Dear Clanmore Casa Families\, \nThe year is off to a great start and we couldn’t be happier. Having your children here at Clanmore has brought newfound life to the building and the air is electric. There is so much going on. \nWe are delighted to invite you to our first Casa Curriculum Evening of the school year\, on Wednesday\, October 8th at 6:30 pm. This will be an opportunity to step into your child’s world and experience a day in the life of your child in the Casa Community. This “parent only” evening will give you a window into the routines\, activities\, and experiences that shape your child’s time with us each day.  \nConnection with you throughout your child’s 3 year journey in Casa is a fundamental pillar in what we do. Come with your questions and your curiosity. This will help to facilitate dialogue and us getting to know each other better.
