DESCRIPTION:The Upper Elementary classes are going to Crawford Lake on Friday\, May 3rd\, 2024 for a full-day program. The bus will depart the school at 9 am and return by 2:30 pm. During the program\, the students will visit a reconstructed Longhouse and develop an understanding of the Longhouse culture. They will be engaged in hands-on activities including crafts and games as well as participating in a guided hike around the lake to explore our relationship with the environment.  \nFor this outing\, the students need to be dressed in their full school uniform\, wear outerwear appropriate for the weather\, and footwear that is comfortable for walking. The students will need a water bottle as well as a packed lunch. All students on the lunch program at school will receive a bagged lunch. DESCRIPTION:Dear Upper Elementary and Middle School Parents\,  \nThe annual PSAA (Private School Athletics Association) Track and Field Meet will be held on Thursday\, May 2nd\, 2024 at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke.  \nThe students and teachers will be travelling by bus. All Upper Elementary and Middle School students need to meet their teachers in the sports field parking lot located behind Clanmore at 8:30am. The bus is scheduled to depart Clanmore at 8:45am sharp. We\, unfortunately\, will not be able to wait for late arrivals.  \nThe students and teachers will arrive back at Clanmore at approximately 4:45pm; we ask that parents are in the sports field parking lot at this time to pick-up their Upper Elementary and/or Middle School child/ren.  \nAs representatives of Clanmore\, all students attending this outing must wear a full Clanmore gym uniform and running shoes for the entire event. This includes the navy shorts\, white Clanmore crested t-shirt\, and Clanmore track pants and hoodie. The students will also be provided with a Kodiak jersey on the day of the event. \nStudents should also be prepared to bring outerwear appropriate for the day's weather; a warm jacket\, a hat\, sunscreen or rain gear might be needed\, as we attend the Track and Field Meet rain or shine. Clanmore has a canopy tent to provide some shelter. \nStudents in Upper Elementary on the catered lunch program will receive a catered packed lunch. All other students in Upper Elementary must bring a packed lunch from home. ALL Middle School students MUST bring their own packed lunch from home. All students are encouraged to bring extra snacks and extra water.  \nPlease note: All younger siblings need to remain in the care of their parents outside of regular school hours (8:30am – 3:45pm). Younger siblings are to be dropped off and picked up at their regular scheduled time and spot\, unless other arrangements have been made. Parents and families are welcome as spectators and cheering squad during the competitions at Centennial Stadium.Competitions are tentatively scheduled to run from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM but may run ahead or behind the proposed schedule.We will send out a more detailed competition schedule closer to the actual date. \nThis email is for information purposes only.
