DESCRIPTION:Arrival: \n\nThe Middle School begins our Morning Meeting at 8:30. We would love for the Year 6 students to join us for this part of our day. If you are able to drop off your child by 8:25 at the Middle School Farmhouse door\, we'd appreciate it! If you are not able to drop off your child early\, please use the Elementary drop-off as usual so your child can check in with their teacher first.\nWe will ask Year 6 students to take their belongings down to their Upper Elementary classroom upon arrival and check in with their Elementary teachers\, then rejoin the Middle School.\n\nWhat to Wear \n\nUpper Elementary students visiting the Middle School are welcome to wear casual clothing for the day. Some of our activities might involve cooking\, painting\, or other slightly messy work\, so students may want to choose accordingly.\n\nActivities \n\nAlthough some of the students will be visiting on Friday\, no Year 6 students will be participating in the Cafe work or Grocery Shopping.\n\nLunch \n\nTuesday\, November 21 we will be making Fish Tacos. These are served with cabbage shreds\, guacamole\, freshly made pico de gallo\, and a creamy\, yogurt-based white sauce. These are served on corn or corn/flour tortillas.\nFriday\, November 24 we will be making "Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup" with grilled cheese sandwiches. \n\nRecess & Return to Elementary \n\nFollowing lunch\, the Year 6 students will be invited to join the Middle School students for recess on the Rolling Hills. While Middle School recess is usually an unsupervised activity\, a Middle School Guide will be observing recess during our visit days.\nElementary students will return to their classes at 12:45.\n\nWe hope this helps prepare your child for a fun visit.

DESCRIPTION:Wednesday TripAs you have likely heard\, the Middle School Community will be heading to Toronto on Wednesday to visit Little Canada in correlation to their current Ratio and Rate math projects. We will be travelling by public transit and leaving the school at 11am and arriving back at 4:00pm at Clarkson GO Station. We ask that students are picked up directly from Clarkson GO Station between 4:00 – 4:10pm at the south side entrance (south of the tracks). We have reminded students to take home anything they need for the weekend on Tuesday afternoon\, to avoid having to return to school after picking them up at the GO Station.  \nPlease have students bring their Presto Cards. Children 12 and under are free to ride Oakville Transit\, the GO Train\, and TTC\, and the school will be paying for those students who have already turned 13 for the GO Train and TTC portion of our travels. However\, as Oakville Transit does require all riders to tap a Presto Card\, we do ask that all students bring their Prestos\, even if they will not be charged.  \nStudents have the option of purchasing their lunch from the World Food Market before visiting the exhibit\, or they can pack a lunch. We recommend for those purchasing that they bring $25. Also\, we have asked students to wear business casual attire for the day.
