DESCRIPTION:Dear Year 8 Families\, \nOn Friday\, October 30th\, our Year 8 students will be visiting Pocket Planet Canada (formerly Little Canada) near Dundas Square in Toronto. This field trip serves as the launching pad for an upcoming math project on ratio and rate\, where students will build their own scale models. \nTrip Details & Schedule: \n\n\nDeparture: We will depart from the school at 9:00 AM. \n\n\nReturn & Pick-up: We will return to Clarkson GO Station at 3:59 PM. Please plan to pick up your child at 4:00 PM on the south side of the tracks at the Kiss ‘n Ride. \n\n\nTransportation & Logistics: \n\n\nTrain Fare: GO Train travel is covered by the school. \n\n\nLocal Transit: Please ensure your child brings their PRESTO card to ride Oakville Transit from the school to Clarkson GO Station. \n\n\nLunch: Students may either pack a lunch or bring money to purchase lunch while in Toronto. \n\n\nThis trip is a beloved annual tradition for our Year 8s and a fantastic way to spark their creativity before they begin their project.

These special mornings are a wonderful opportunity for you to spend some time outdoors with your child and experience a little part of our school routine. \nOur Brisk Walks will take place on Friday mornings from 8:45–9:15 a.m. at the end of each month. \n\n\n\n \n\nWhat To Do: \n● Arrive with your child at the regular arrival time. \n● Park in the back parking lot. \n● Please wait for us outside the Toddler gates\, where we will meet you and begin our walk together. \n● Depending on the day\, we will either walk to the lake or explore the back forest. \nAs our walks take place outdoors\, weather can sometimes be unpredictable. If we need to cancel due to inclement or uncertain weather\, we will send an email by 8:00 a.m. that morning. \n \nWe hope you’ll be able to join us for one—or even a few—of our Brisk Walks!
