Upper Elementary/MS Trip to Oakville Performing Arts

Dear Parents, 

On May 6th, the Upper Elementary and Middle School students will be going to the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts to see a concert of Missy D. This performance will be entirely in French, giving the children an opportunity to experience the language in a new context. 

The students are asked to arrive at regular time as we will be taking public transportation to the concert, leaving the school at 11.30am. The students will have a picnic lunch. Hot lunch students will be provided a bagged lunch. All others are asked to bring their lunch in a bag that they can carry. The concert begins at 1pm and students will return in time for regular dismissal. 

Students are asked to dress in their Clanmore uniform as well as to dress appropriately for the weather, as there will be some walking.

Missy D is a hip-hop, rap and soul artist who makes music as a form of therapy. She empowers folks with love and music as a way to express feelings, share a message and connect with listeners. Missy draws inspiration from French melodies to r&b, soul, jazz, hip hop, rock and rap legends.
