Upper Elementary Valentine Box Lunch

Dear Upper Elementary Parents,

The Upper Elementary children will once again be invited to participate in a Valentine’s Day Boxed Lunch celebration on Thursday, February 12th. This invitation is optional and any student who does not want to participate is free to eat their usual home packed lunch or catered school lunch.

Participating children have filled out a form indicating what some favourite foods are, some particular dislikes, as well as any allergies or dietary restrictions. They have each drawn a classmate’s name, whose form will be sent home today to assist you with the lunch preparation. This will ensure that each child receives a lunch they will truly enjoy. 

The children can decorate boxes, gift bags, or use any special way of presenting their secret Valentine’s Lunch. They may include small goodies or surprises, and of course each lunch should be labelled with the child’s name and be nut/peanut free. 

Please do not write who the lunch is from on the outside of the bag or box as the children will have a chance to guess who made their lunch for them!
